The city of Cork is the second city of Ireland and is well known for its rich culture and history. Rebel County, the significant place for the Irish civil war 1922 is also located in this city. The end of the civil war was due to the assassination of Michael Collins. The monastery built by St Finbarr in the 7th century is the place from where the city was originally developed. The oldest yacht club in the world is also located here.
The city of Cork lies in between the two channels of river Lee which forms an island. Population of cork city is around 150,000 approximately who have an individual character.
